Youth Programs

LEAP - is a three-week summer day camp for boys and girls ages 9-11 from the inner city and rural areas of northeastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania. Interactive programs emphasizing Leadership, Education, Arts, and Play take place Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Promise Peace is the primary theme of LEAP camp, where participants learn to get along with one another and to handle conflict in a positive way. A new emphasis on multicultural appreciation brings trained leaders to work with the children through games and awareness activities. Participants enjoy lunch and morning and afternoon snacks, as well as opportunities for swimming and experiencing the organic gardens and farm animals.

Youth Retreats serve junior and senior high school students through day and overnight programs designed to the specific needs of each group. Family retreats and retreats for at-risk youth are also available.

Workshops include programs that focus on development of leadership skills, peer mediation, non-violent behavior, civic responsibility, substance abuse prevention and self-esteem.
